Control power supply is an important part of the hardware of CNC system, and it is also a part of the problem in maintenance. The power supply system of CNC lathe manufacturer has two parts: AC and DC.

(1) AC power supply. It is a device that provides energy for control system and also provides energy for servo drive. There are also various protection and switching devices on AC power supply; Short circuit, isolation and voltage loss protection. When the AC power supply to the servo system, it is necessary to pay attention to the phase sequence of the power supply of the devices with thyristor devices. Once the program is connected wrong, the thyristor devices lose the synchronous relationship and cause the failure.

(2) DC power supply. As the control power supply, DC power supply is mainly switch stabilized voltage power supply, which has voltage of + 5V, + 24V and ± 15V. The voltage of each equipment is different. For example, the voltage supply on CRT is 24V, and some are AC 110V or 220V. Therefore, CNC lathe manufacturers as much as possible to look after the requirements of the supply voltage of each terminal. Power supply is very important, and once there is an error, it will cause irreparable loss. There is also DC voltage which is supplied to servo, which is mostly obtained by servo transformer and rectifier.

(3) Battery power supply. Because some information in the NC device needs to be maintained under the power failure of the machine tool, some RAM area uses batteries to maintain data. Most of these batteries are lithium batteries, which have long life but low power. CNC lathe manufacturers can also use ordinary batteries to reduce voltage through diodes to achieve the required voltage value to replace, but must pay attention to the life. The battery must be replaced when it is powered on, otherwise the data will be lost. This is different from the conventional habit. When replacing, it is necessary to pay attention to not generating short circuit.
